ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), today announced that Arrow is now a Microsoft Lync Certified Support Partner. Additionally, the company has achieved accreditation with the Microsoft Azure Circle Partner Program. These certifications are available through Arrow’s S3 business and align with Arrow’s commitment to providing superior technology support and guidance in today’s evolving business environments.

“By achieving these competencies, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, worldwide partner group, at Microsoft. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top one percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”

Arrow was nominated for the Microsoft Support Partner Certification after achieving a Gold Communications Competency (the highest-level Lync certification). This certification is an exclusive accreditation that is not offered to every Gold Communications Competency partner. The accreditation process is extensive, and many who are nominated do not pass certification. Arrow strongly performed and met its rigorous training and certification criteria. These efforts underscore Arrow’s commitment to supporting customers regardless of when or how they are using Lync.

The Microsoft Azure Circle Partner Program represents a select group that is structured through readiness, support and incentives. Azure is an open and flexible cloud platform that enables customers to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed data centers. Applications can be built using any language, tool, or framework; and public cloud applications can be integrated within existing IT environments.

“These certifications showcase Arrow’s expertise with supporting industry-leading technology such as the Microsoft portfolio,” said Jeff Reed, chief technology officer at Arrow’s S3 business. “We are pleased that Microsoft recognizes our efforts in prioritizing client needs. We look forward to leveraging these certifications to best advise and support our clients as they seek to transition to the cloud and integrate communications solutions into their environment.”

Arrow’s S3 business specializes in unified communications, voice and data technologies, contact center and network security. It provides business-transforming communication, collaboration and ongoing services solutions.
